Urea, AdBlue shortage: Australia reveals how long stocks on hand will last

AdBlue, made with urea, is used in modern diesel vehicles to reduce emissions, which is required for trucks, private vehicles and tractors.

With recent global pressures in the urea market and its impact on the supply of diesel exhaust fluid – AdBlue, a coordinated whole-of-government effort aims to ensure its ongoing supply.

The importance of AdBlue to the economy, supply chain, transport and logistic sectors is significant, as such, an AdBlue Taskforce has been announced to develop solutions to any potential future supply constraints.

The Independent Food Distributors Australia (IFDA) are actively advocating and liaising with the government on behalf of the foodservice industry in order to keep trucks on the road.
